New PS5 event date announced for June 11

After delaying the June 4 event due to the events surrounding George Floyd’s death, another day is already announced

Sony already has a new date for its presentation event of the first exclusive PS5 games: Thursday, May 11 at 22:00 CEST (Spanish peninsular time), one week later than planned. If everything goes according to plan this time, it will be the first time that we see games designed exclusively for the new Sony platform, with several possible candidates in the pool.

The new generation

When last week the video game world awaited the event focused on the first PS5 games, the most powerful event to date on the new Sony console, the Minato company decided that the events around the death of George Floyd and his deep impact in various cities forced to step back to “let more important voices hear”, something highly applauded and supported by the whole of the video game industry, delaying numerous events and announcements planned for these dates -in which in a normal year, without COVID-19 in between, we would be in full pre-E3-.

With this, the countdown would begin to begin to know more fully the new generation console. Sony has kept its cards well hidden to date and the only thing we have been able to find out during this time has been technical details and a striking real-time demo via Epic and Unreal Engine 5, while Microsoft has taken the lead not just giving technical details but also showing the form of Xbox Series X and showing the first games for it (yes, from third companies, they still keep the letter of the First Party titles, which will be shown at an event to be detailed in July).

Meristation will offer a live coverage that night starting at 9, accompanied by the entire current team to tell you the last hour, both in video and in text.
