NieR: Automata Coming to Xbox Game Pass; over four million copies sold

One of Platinum Games' great works, NieR: Automata, is coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 2. The title reaches a new sales record.

Square Enix confirms that NieR: Automata is coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 2. The company takes advantage of the tenth anniversary broadcast of the brand's inception to push the service's catalog.

Recall that the Xbox One version of the title came almost a year and a half later in its full edition. The BECOME AS GODS Edition includes all pre-order bonuses and downloadable content released later. 3C3C1D119440927 incorporates new outfits from NieR Replicant and three side quests as combat challenges. As a point, an unpublished musical track, “Deserving of Life”, is added, fruit of the collaboration between the game with the rock group Amazarashi. It supports 4K resolution and HDR.

A subscription is not currently available in Japan, although it is expected to arrive soon.

New record: 4,500,000 copies sold

Everything around NieR brings good news. After reaching 4 million copies sold last May 2019, Automata surpasses a new milestone. According to the Asian giant, there are already 4,500,000 copies sold between the physical and digital formats.

This has been announced through the social network Twitter:

NieR: Automata came to the West in March 2017 for PS4 and PC. The brand's next step will rest on the improved version of NieR: Replicant, the exclusive for Japan that would come to our market later on under the nickname of NieR: Gestalt. Few are the details revealed at the moment, except that we are not facing a remake or a remastering; Square Enix refers to it as "an updated version" for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It will be released at some point during this celebration of the tenth anniversary of the saga. Its development is carried out by Toylogic.
