The Twitter account of the North American division publishes a tweet accompanied by a small video, without specifying whether it is a video game.

LEGO Super Mario will be a reality, but beyond that, the nature of the project is unknown. Nintendo of America and Lego have published a tweet with video in which we can see a LEGO version of the old plumber: “Something fun is being built!”, They say in the publication. "Stay tuned". The rest is a succession of hashtags related to the toy company. At the moment, no Nintendo Direct has been announced, a format that returned to offer all the details of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but that has not offered a general show for months.

LEGO has starred in many well-known franchises, among which are The Lord of the Rings, Batman and Star Wars. However, Nintendo had not had a presence before. The Japanese company is still looking for ways to expand its franchises, something that has been reflected in its interest in the mobile device market. So, things in Kyoto have published projects such as Mario Kart Tour or Fire Emblem Heroes. Its intention is to continue deepening in that lines. In addition, the Japanese are working on a Super Mario movie.

Super Mario will have animated film

Since the failure of the Super Mario movie, back in the eighties, the plumber had only appeared in the animated series. The wait, however, will come to an end in 2022, when the Nintendo mascot jumps back to the big screen with Illumination and Universal Studios. In a recent interview with Famitsu, Shigeru Miyamoto himself has revealed why they chose to approve the project. The Japanese relied on the talent of the animation studio after meeting with Chris Melenandri, who has worked on films such as Minions or Gru.

Nintendo Switch has not announced all its cards for the year 2020, but Nintendo has several games announced for the future and the present. On the one hand, Pokémon Mysterious World: Rescue Team, which is now available; on the other, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will be released on March 20.
