Nintendo Direct surprise recap: all announcements

The Japanese company publishes, without prior notice, a 30-minute video with all the news for the Nintendo Switch.

Suddenly and by surprise. This is how Nintendo has published a new edition of its Nintendo Direct, which it has called "Mini", despite the fact that it lasts practically 30 minutes. Those in Kyoto point out, however, that due to the coronavirus crisis (COVID-19), all the dates that appear in the video could change in the future. After a Direct starring Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the Nintendo Indie World, gamers had long been asking for a general one that would map out the immediate future of the Nintendo Switch, as many of the projects, such as Bayonetta 3 or the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, contemplated for later.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

The game coming soon will be Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, the new version of the title originally released on Wii, although it also featured an adaptation for Nintendo 3DS. The revamped version of this classic will be released on May 29 and will offer renewed graphics and a more refined gameplay. In addition, the work will be published in two editions, the standard and the collector's. The latter will arrive the same day and will include a downloadable steelbook, vinyl and soundtrack, as well as a poster and a 256-page art book.

The 2K Games Collection

2K Games is committed to the Nintendo platform and welcomes two of its most important sagas. Bioshock HD Collection will be published on the system and will provide players with the opportunity to enjoy the three main games, Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite, as well as Borderlands: Legacy Collection, which as its name indicates, includes the video games of the previous Console Generation: Borderlands, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 2. Last but not least, the XCOM strategy game is also among the chosen ones.
