The official Nintendo of America account stands in solidarity with the social protests taking place in the United States and shows their support.
Nintendo of America has issued a statement on Twitter where they show their support for the black community after the social protests in the United States that cry for justice to end the oppression and police violence suffered by this group, all detonated after the death of the citizen George Floyd .
“Nintendo shares the pain felt in the United States after the tragic death of George Floyd,” they begin by saying. “We support the black community and all those who recognize our shared humanity and our fundamental belief in equity and justice. We reject prejudice, exclusion, oppression and the violence that leads to these completely unnecessary deaths. We are committed to promoting equity, inclusion and diversity in all aspects of our business and the work we do ”, they conclude.

Black Lives Matter: the video game sector, united
The reaction of the community has been unanimous, with hundreds of messages of thanks; although not all. Nintendo thus joins many other video game companies that have stepped aside so that other voices are now heard. Since the cancellation of the presentation event of the first PS5 games that had to be held this June 4, going through Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone or the following season Fortnite.
All this will come, but it will be done as a sign that black lives matter. The #BlackLivesMatter hashtag continues to gain strength and reaches an international scale.
Nintendo remains silent, meanwhile, about the plans they have for the canceled E3 2020; this by the coronavirus crisis. All the companies are showing their cards little by little, but Nintendo has not even hinted at the possibility of holding a Nintendo Direct of which we know the still unknown roadmap of Nintendo Switch for the second half of this year 2020.
