Nioh 2 – Playable demo announced, but …

Playfront

Koei Tecmo has announced a playable demo of 'Nioh 2', one last chance to experience the hardcore RPG before its March release.

The demo has a catch, however, which will only be available for a few days. It shows a lot of news from the sequel, including detailed character customization, how to summon wild yokai, how to use deadly new Switchglaive – an evil, scythe-like weapon that can be used to move shapes in an instant, and much more.

The trial version consists of three missions to test your skills. Venture out of Mount Tenno and face the deadly creatures waiting there with a variety of deadly weapons. Although your game progress may not later be transferred to the full game, at least the appearance of your created character will be transferred. You can pay special attention to this.

Demo availability

  • Trial Start: Friday, 28th February at 12:00 am PT (Midnight)
  • Trial End: Sunday, 1st March at 11:59 pm PT

A few gameplay tips about Nioh 2 and the demo are also available on the official PlayStation blog.

Nioh 2 will be released on March 13, 2020.
