Official: Streets of Rage 4 comes out in late April; new trailer with Battle Mode confirmed

The date of Dotemu's game is finally confirmed, a week later than it was leaked.

Streets of Rage 4 finally has an official date. It will not be April 24 as was speculated by the leak that was on the Nintendo website, but a week later: specifically it goes on sale on April 30 by Dotemu. The game, which wants to recover the glory of the arcade classics with current graphics and various new features, is expected for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, where it will be available on the Game Pass by the way. In the trailer that accompanies this news, the official date of the game has been announced, and not only that.

The legendary Battle Mode, which allows us to take on other friends, is back. It will allow you to choose between eight different arenas and also make versus or team matches for up to four players at a time. All this, of course, with the characteristic hand-drawn visual style of this installment and with the option of using the original skins from previous installments.

Development with multiple fronts

Streets of Rage 4 comes from the collaboration between Dotemu, editor and co-developer (responsible for publishing Wonder Boy and currently developing Windjammers 2), Lizardcube (responsible for co-developing Wonder Boy) and Guard Crush Games (parents of Streets of Fury) . Remember that in addition to the hand-drawn visual style, the original soundtrack is provided by Olivier Derivière with the help of the series' composers, Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima.

Streets of Rage 4 recently announced that it was adding 12 classic characters and also the original soundtrack, in addition to having physical editions for PS4 and Nintendo Switch for those who are interested.
