The famous webcomic who went on to star in his own anime and even videogames will have a live-action movie from the writers of Venom.
One Punch Man, the popular webcomic who has subsequently starred in his own anime and even video games, will have his own live action movie. Thus it has transpired through Sony Pictures, a production that will feature a script made by the writers of the Venom film under the production of Arad Productions, company of Avi Arad and Ari Arad.
Big budget production
The writers chosen for this new live action adaptation are Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinker, as we say, responsible for the adaptation of Venom to celluloid and the two new Jumanji films, writers that Sony has trusted again to bring Saitama to Hollywood real action. According to the company itself, this new adaptation of Saitama will have a large budget and will feature prominently among its film franchises.
Created as a webcomic in 2009 by the Japanese artist ONE, One Punch Man quickly went viral and became very popular, moving on to manga and anime formats with great critical and public success, including several mobile video games in Japan and a Recent video game that arrived this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One with One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows.
One Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, an overly powerful hero capable of knocking down any opponent with a single punch, as suggested by the title of a series full of humor and such crazy situations as unexpected.
Despite the fact that the One Punch Man franchise continues to record high popularity ratings, especially in Japan, at the moment there is no confirmation of new episodes after the premiere of its first two seasons. On the other hand, the manga continues to be published regularly, so we hope to know more details soon about which story arcs will be adapted for its debut as a live action film.
