The Spanish publishing house Heroes of Paper has revealed the next addition to its library: ‘The PlayStation Encyclopedia’. This new book, which reviews the complete history of Sony's first domestic machine in the videogame sector, will delve into the figure of the system from its main features to how this commercial phenomenon was managed, among many other aspects.
Unlike on other occasions, 'The PlayStation Encyclopedia' is not a work of a single authorship, but it is actually a collaborative work between three major signatures of retro videogames journalism in Spain such as Jesús Relinque "Pedja", José Manuel Fernández "Spidey" and Joaquín Relaño Gómez; This last member of FreeGameTips for many years.
More than 1000 PlayStation video games reviewed
It will not be until November 28 when the book is put up for sale, which has reviews of more than 1000 video games selected from the huge PlayStation catalog, both European and North American and Japanese.
As the name implies, the informative nature of the copy will base part of its mission in being a search and learning encyclopedia of the equipment of the console: cultural legacy, main companies involved, the social impact of its name … Likewise, the main peripherals and how the road was drawn from its conception until its launch in that Sony of the nineties.
