Konami confirms its exclusive agreement with AS Roma. The Italian team will be part of the list of licenses for PES 2021. Another team loses FIFA.
Blow to FIFA: PES 2021 takes the exclusive of AS Roma. The Italian team confirms through a trailer its incorporation to the list of licensed clubs by Konami. Wardrobe heavyweights like Mkhitaryan and Spinazzola are the main faces chosen in this face-to-face between reality and fiction.
During the advertising campaign of the new installment, the studio gives a lot of weight to the legends of each club. Roma would be no less: Cafu, Nakata and the great Batistuta parade dressed in the maglietta rossa. Yes, il capitano also appears. He could not miss the one who dedicated his entire life to the club: Francesco Totti.
This has been confirmed by Konami through Twitter. You can see his reveal trailer at the top of this news.

Exchange of blows in Serie A
In recent years, FIFA and PES have fought a dispatch duel for several of the Italian league’s licenses. The past 2019 was significant for the loss of Juventus of Turin in the EA Sports title, which adopted a fictitious name: Piemonte Calcio. This year the same will happen with AS ROMA; in FIFA 21 it will be renamed Roma FC.
This change will affect the kit and its shield, which will be personalized. The team will compete on the Stadion Olympik, a generic lawn. However, players will remain real and participate in rotations in modes like FIFA Ultimate Team.
Electronic Arts did not sit idly by: it stole PES’s wallet with the signing of Inter Milan and AC Milan. Since this year’s delivery they have become premium sponsors of the North American title. As we said, Serie A remains one of the battlefields where the Japanese continue to fight.
