The Sega MMORPG is finally coming to Xbox Play Anywhere 12 years after its original release in Japan for free and cross-play.
Phantasy Star Online 2 fans in the west are in luck; and it is that after nothing more and nothing less than 12 years since its original release for PC in Japan and its recent availability in the United States from this past April, finally the famous Sega MMORPG is now available in the West for both Windows 10 PC as for Xbox One, with an initial weight of more than 70 GB.

Thus, the sequel to the legendary online RPG Dreamcast finally arrives in Europe for PC and Xbox One after its recent visit to the United States and its long-ago debut on Japanese soil; and it does so as free to play through the Microsoft Store with the Xbox Play Anywhere functionality, allowing players to play the title regardless of the platform chosen, preserving their progress and with the incentive of cross play.
According to the official title page of the Microsoft Store, players have several options to enjoy the online adventures of Phantasy Star Online 2, from the free basic version to the more complete The Animation’s Hero Edition (49.99 euros) and Sonic Collaboration Edition (59.99 euros), both with different extras and accessories; and it is that as the name of the most expensive edition suggests, both Sonic and Tails skins are included.
