PlatinumGames hopes to surprise with the latest Platinum 4 announcement

PlatinumGames hopes to surprise with the latest Platinum 4 announcement

The Japanese studio has already revealed three of its four projects related to this ad poker. They think the latter will be worth it.

PlatinumGames warned at the beginning of the year that 2020 was going to be a very long course for them. And so it is. After knowing the injection of economic capital by the Chinese giant Tencent Holdings, the willingness to stock up independently from Inaba's team, Kamiya and company is gradually fulfilled. The Platinum 4 initiative has already announced three of its four projects; so one is missing, with which they hope to surprise their own and strangers.

As Atsushi Ibaba has reported on Nintendo Enthusiast, the head of the Japanese studio has reflected on the current stage of the team and believes that the fourth and final announcement will be impressive. “I think, from the point of view of users, they are always thinking:‘ What will Platinum do now? What will they do next? And then?'. So our goal is always to achieve that (and let them say): ‘Oh, what they have done! What will be next! What will be next! ”He continues.

For this reason, “With the fourth project, I hope we impress everyone and have them say again:‘ What? Have you really done it? That is the message I want to send you, ”he ends.

Three ads revealed: PlatinumGames roadmap

The first announcement was The Wonderful 101: Remastered through Kickstarter to launch on PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC; although the game was already done (they have ended up recognizing it). The second announcement was Project G.G., which will mean the end of the “trilogy of the hero” of Hideki Kamiya and of which we still do not have confirmed platforms or an approximate release date. The third announcement has been the new studio based in Tokyo, the second major headquarters where PlatinumGames will work from now on. That team is in charge of Project G.G.

Apart from these projects, Platinum is currently working on the orders of Square Enix (Babylon’s Fall) and Nintendo (Bayonetta 3).
