The Pokémon Company wants all fans of the saga to choose their favorite Pokémon on the occasion of the celebration that will take place on February 27, Pokémon Day. The license will turn 24 since the launch of Pokémon Red Edition and Green Edition in Japan, so the question is clear: what will be the favorite Pokémon of the year 2020?
How to vote for your favorite Pokémon: dates and conditions
As the official note reads: “First of all, we need help from all the fans. Thanks to Google, we have created a contest in which you can vote for your favorite Pokémon to decide which is the Pokémon of the year. ” These votes have already begun and will end on Friday, February 14 at 2:59 p.m. (CEST).
- To vote, you simply have to click on this link or access the Google search engine and enter “Pokémon Voting”.
- Next, we will see a panel with the entire National Pokédex, divided into its eight generations so far (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Teselia, Kalos, Alola and Galar) and the 890 Pokémon registered.
- Select your favorite Pokémon depending on the generation to which it originally belongs and finally vote. You just have to be logged in with your Google account in the web or mobile browser.
- You can vote once a day during this period.
The celebration of Pokémon Day extends to the entire saga
February 27 will be a celebration day for Pokémon, in general. For Pokémon GO, starting Tuesday, February 25, we can find Pikachu and Eevee dressed in a party hat, also with Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle with that same style if we hatch them in the 7 km eggs.
It will also be throughout that day when Pokémon opens: Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution on Netflix, the CGI remake of the original film of the franchise that we could see in Spain there by April 2000.
