Niantic has confirmed the operation that the mode will have once it officially arrives. The preseason starts now; The League will start in February.
After several years of waiting, Niantic has made official the arrival of the online PvP mode of Pokémon GO, the so-called GO Fighting League. From January 29 will begin to be available gradually for this modality for Coaches depending on the level to maintain the stability of the servers.

The PvP mode of Pokémon GO starts with a preseason, a small preparation for the official leagues with certain start and end times. As indicated: "The Coach Fights of the GO Fighting League will rotate between the three leagues, you can compete against other Coaches and win prizes according to your position in the rankings."
Thus, for the preseason, the GO Fighting League begins with the Super Ball League, then it will be the Ultra Ball League and the Master Ball League, same nomenclature as in the denomination of the Leagues against the CPU. Rotations will occur every two weeks. In this way, we have a total of 14 days to qualify during the preseason, but the classification will be partially restored once Season 1 begins (official, not trial).

Pre-season dates to detail | GO Fighting League
- The preseason will rotate the Ultra Ball League format on Monday, February 10, 2020, at 22:00 CET (13:00 PST).
- The Master Ball League will begin on Monday, February 24, 2020, at 10:00 PM CET (1:00 PM PST)

Prizes, Raid Passes and other details of interest
- In order to understand well how the GO Fighting League will work from today, we will summarize the details confirmed by Niantic as well as the prizes that players will receive based on the positions obtained in each of the Leagues .
- To access the GO Fighting League it is necessary to have walked 5 kilometers and unlock five bouts online. The latter can be done up to three times a day.
- During the fighting, we will receive large amounts of Stardust; it will depend on our classification how many of the five fights we have won. The more wins, the more Stardust. You can also win items related to combat, such as MT and Rare Candy.
- One of the awards will be Pikachu Libre, which was previously leaked in the code, as well as avatar objects inspired by it. Pikachu Libre's debut is reserved for the GO Fighting League.
- Premium raid passes will become premium combat. This name change comes to answer its double function from now on: they can be used to participate in the raids or in the premium tracks of the Liga Combates GO, which award more and better prizes than the standard ones. An important detail: “The use of a premium combat pass does not affect your ranking or your score; the only way to improve them is to win. ”
- If you have not reached the 5 kilometers of roads needed to participate in the GO Fighting League, Pokémonedas may be used. The cost will be reduced as we approach the objective; the minimum to be able to afford the difference is to have walked at least 2 kilometers.
