Niantic reveals all the details of the tenth month of the year in Pokémon GO, which will be loaded with content for all players. Complete list.

The month of October is going to be packed with content on Pokémon GO. Niantic has reported through an official statement what we can expect of the month par excellence dedicated to Halloween, the fifth of the video game since its premiere in 2016. However, it will be this year where there is more content ahead and more activities. Let’s take a look at Research Achievements, Legendaries, Featured Pokémon Hours, and other planned events.

October Research Achievements in Pokémon GO

As indicated in the official portal, from Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. CEST to Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. CET, Shedinja, the Pokémon Muda, will be the reward for research achievements weekly. Thus, by completing seven days of daily investigations we will have a guaranteed encounter with him. Don’t forget a good handful of Poké Balls.

October will have new Legendary raid bosses

The Pokémon GO raid boss rotation for October plans for the rest of Kanto’s legendary birds to arrive first. If we now have Articuno, soon it will be Zapdos and Moltres who show off their wandering virtue and let themselves be seen in the level 5 raids. This is the complete schedule:

  • Giratina Forma Origen: from Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. to Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. CEST. It may be shiny. (Level 5)
  • Halloween Special Raid Boss – Available in Halloween dedicated event challenges.
  • Every Wednesday in October: One-hour special raid event featuring a Legendary Pokémon at 6:00 PM (local time).

October Featured Pokémon Hours

This October we will also have the famous Pokémon Featured Hour. Also, this time they will be creatures with themed cosmetic elements; at least in the case of the ever-present Pikachu. Let’s take a look at the calendar.

  • Tuesday, October 6, 2020: Pikachu Globetrotter Cap (double XP for catching Pokémon).
  • Tuesday, October 13, 2020: Pikachu Original Cap (double the amount of Candy for catching Pokémon).
  • Tuesday, October 20, 2020: Shuppet (double Candy when transferring Pokémon).
  • Tuesday, October 27, 2020: Duskull (double XP for evolving Pokémon).

October Special Limited Research: Alola Meowth

Niantic also anticipates that on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (local time) we will have an exclusive field research task available where we can meet Meowth in its regional variants of Kanto, Alola and Galar. An item pack will be available for the occasion in the Store with Incense, Pinia Berries and Lucky Eggs.

Fashion event: Longchamp x Pokémon

As we have known this week, a Longchamp x Pokémon collaboration will be held on the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, there will be an event from Friday, October 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CEST until Friday, October 9, 2020 at 7:00 CEST. During the event, Smoochum that hatch from the 7 km Eggs during the event will carry a special bow; Kirlia will have a top hat on raids with Drain Kiss as a move, among other details.

Undisclosed Upcoming Events: Halloween

Finally, Pokémon GO will feature novelties in Halloween-themed objects, a Halloween-themed cup in Season 4 of the GO Fighting League and an annual event dedicated to this event. There will also be news for the Niantic anniversary event and the change of season.
