Pokémon GO: canceled Raid Day with Pinsir

The Pokémon Company communicates that the event will not finally take place, but the reasons have not transpired. We tell you what we know for now.

The Pokémon Company has released a statement to let Pokémon GO players know that Raid Day with Pinsir, which was to be celebrated this weekend, will finally not take place. The company has been very concise in its explanations, indicating only the cancellation of the event; the reasons have not transcended.

To Bichear !, the event where the figure of Pinsir was going to be celebrated

Initially, Pinsir was planned to be the main protagonist of the raids this Sunday, June 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time for the three-star raids. For some reason that we do not know if it will be detailed soon, the event will not be held in any way. Even a batch of 1 Pokécurrency with three remote raid passes was going to be enabled, so that those who have to remain confined to their homes or prefer to leave the house as little as possible were not going to have to go to a point incursion.

Pokémon GO: canceled Raid Day with Pinsir

Pinsir, Bug-type Pokémon, was part of the ¡A Bichear! Event, which is still active. As we explained in this breakdown with all the activities of this event, until next July 1, Wednesday, at 22:00 (local time), it would be possible to access Bug-type Pokémon in a wild environment such as Scyther, Venipede and Swebble, the latter even in varicoloured form. We can also get them with a little more frequency than normal in the 5 km Eggs, exclusive field research tasks of this event and the raids, always with x2 in PX per capture.

We take this opportunity to remember that Pokémon GO will soon have two measures designed to make it easier for us to play from home in the future: guaranteed daily Pokémon encounters and Free Daily Packs of items. That is, lots with a limited number of objects and at least one encounter with Pokémon always guaranteed every day. This will eliminate the need to necessarily have to go to the street if circumstances such as the one we have had to live this spring.
