Niantic will celebrate a multitude of challenges and prizes for all Trainers on the occasion of the Pokémon GO Fest. Let’s conceal the details.
Niantic has unveiled its Pokémon GO fourth anniversary celebration plan. The title, which is going through one of its best moments since that summer of 2016, will have a multitude of weekly challenges with which we can unlock Pokémon species that will be seen during the Pokémon GO Fest. Let’s take a look at the confirmed dates, challenges and rewards for the first of these three weeks of celebrations.
Three weeks of challenges: dates, times and details of Week 1
In this way, all trainers, regardless of whether they have purchased a ticket for the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 or not, will be able to access these three weekly challenges in the form of three lines of temporary research. When we’re done, we’ll unlock more Pokémon species that will be visible during GO Fest 2020.
Week 1: skill challenge and Pokémon GO fourth anniversary celebration event
The first of the challenges will coincide with the game’s fourth anniversary celebration and will focus on capturing Pokémon. Thus, from Friday, July 3, 2020 at 8:00 AM to Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 10:00 PM (local time), special Pokémon will appear in the wild, on raids and when hatching Eggs, including a Pikachu flying that we can even find in various colors.
GO Fest Weekly Challenge: Skill
After completing all three sets of tasks in the weekly GO Fest challenge, we will have: an encounter with Ducklett, an encounter with flying Pikachu, a Star Hunk, and more. If a million Trainers from the same team complete the Temporary Research, the following Pokémon will appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2020.

- One Million Wisdom Team Trainers: Alomomola
- One Million Team Coaches Valor: Chansey.
If we complete the weekly GO Fest Challenge: Temporary Skill Investigation, we will access the GO Fest Elite Skill Challenge, a series of more difficult tasks.
Features of the event for the fourth anniversary
To all this, we have to add that to celebrate the fourth anniversary there will be new activities and species in Pokémon GO. Remarkable, aside from Ducklett’s debut, the Boot Investigation will be available this week for Trainers who missed it in 2019. In turn, we’ll see more Flying-type Pokémon and Pokémon with party hats in the wild, hatching Eggs and on raids .; even Pidove variocolor. Flying Pikachu will appear wild and on raids; the probability of variocolor will be very low.
In closing, it is confirmed that this first week we will have Ho-Oh on the five-star raids. Its debut will take place from Friday, July 3, 2020 at 08:00 and will run until July 6 at 22:00. Remote raid passes are still available.
