Niantic has announced its plans for this final stretch of 2019 in Pokémon GO. Although we already knew all the investigations, rewards, Community Day, raid bosses and Eggs for this December, it is time to update what awaits us in the matter of Legendary Pokémon during these coming weeks.

The first thing is the rotation of the missions with which we face Giovanni, leader of Team GO Rocket. His new special investigation again has six phases and is the culmination of the confrontation against dark Zapdos, which we can capture and purify normally. Articuno was in November, so it is to be expected that in January we will have Moltres.
Virizion takes over from Terrakion and Cobalion
The legendary trio of Teselia, the swordsmen, dismisses Terrakion – which has already relieved Cobalion – and welcomes the third mystical swordsman of the fifth generation, Virizion. The dates are already confirmed: from December 17 at 22:00 (CEST) until next January 7 at 22:00 (CEST). Its Combination Plant / Fight makes us recommend Pokémon like Honchkrow with Peck and Airstrike, Rayquaza with Airstrike and Airstrike or Unfezant with Airstrike and Airstrike as main counters. Mewtwo, with Confusion and Mental Wave, is a great alternative. We can find Virizion in the Level 5 Raid (Legendary).
