Niantic announces news for this month's Community Day, which recovers Abra after the event was canceled in March by the coronavirus.
Niantic has confirmed that Pokémon GO April Community Day will be celebrated. Unlike in March, when it had to be canceled due to the severity of the coronavirus, this time Community Day is back on April 25 with Abra as the protagonist and it will do it with news to be able to play without leaving home.
Thus, next weekend the monthly community event most loved by the players of the iOS and Android phenomenon returns. It will do so under the name of Community Day: special edition "Stay at home" on Saturday, April 25, 2020, from 11:00 to 17:00 local time. Yes, it is not a mistake: it will be six hours long for the first time in history and with the possibility of playing with guarantees without having to go to the streets.
Unlike in the last four years, which was always for three hours (180 minutes), this time it will be twice as long and with a few new features as exceptional changes that we will detail below.

The first and most important thing: Abra is the protagonist. During the hours of the event, the Incenses will last three hours, so for each time we use one, the number of Pokémon attracted to our location will increase, which will facilitate that we can capture more Abra in the period of the Community. Also, for each capture we will have a x3 in Stardust per capture, essential in order to enhance our future Alakazam.
And yes, this time there will also be an exclusive movement: Counterattack. As always, it will be necessary to evolve to Abra a Kadabra and, finally, Alakazam in the hours of celebration of the event or up to an hour after it ends (until 18:00 local time) if we want you to learn this movement. Regarding Abra shiny / variocolor, Niantic confirms that it will be, although as always with a very low appearance ratio.
Another highlight is that during Pokémon GO April Community Day there will be a special one-time purchase bundle that will include an elite Charged Attack MT, 30 Ultra Balls, three Super Incubators, and three Incenses for 1280 Pokemon.
