The Nintendo saga will begin in 2021, the year of the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, making history and participating in a mysterious streaming from space.

What if grapes in Spain, lentils in Italy, kisses at midnight in the United States … The Pokémon saga has wanted to do it in its own way and through its social networks has announced that it will say goodbye to 2020 with the help of the Station International Space, with which he will make a special collaboration this December 31. During “The Space Sunrise Live”, a streaming that will offer live images (and from space) of the first sunrise of 2021, the Japanese module of the station and their respective astronauts will have a main role, being accompanied by several Pokémon by way of surprise guests.

A nod to the Pearl and Diamond remakes?
The details of the event and what Nintendo’s intention is (to start the year with a new announcement in the franchise?) Are unknown, but everything indicates that it has to do with Pokémon GO and augmented reality. Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of The Pokémon Company, has also hinted that we will see “space Pokémon” and the networks have already begun to appear all kinds of theories, conspiracies and rumors related to Deoxys, Palkia and Dialga (how does a remake of Pokémon Perla and Diamante, of which the latter were the cover?).
There is nothing certain and most likely there are no announcements of any kind, being a mere detail of Nintendo to inaugurate in a special way 2021, “the year of Pokémon”. The saga, the second best-selling video game franchise in history, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on February 26, 2021. So even if it does not arrive on New Year’s Eve, it is to be expected that there will be an announcement or launch soon to celebrate it. Do not forget either that in addition to its visit to the International Space Station, Pokémon celebrates the New Year in Pokémon Go with various temporary events scheduled for the 31st and the first bars of January.
