Play! Pokémon wants to untie itself from cheating users and, for this, it will begin to prohibit the participation of those who do not comply with the rules.
The Pokémon Company has released a new statement confirming that it has begun applying disciplinary measures for Pokémon Sword and Shield players who go offline during online battles. This policy, which was already announced in early April by the company itself, is now activated to clean up the community and penalize the well-known ragequit; that is, users who leave the games before they end if they foresee a defeat.
Play! Pokémon, the label in charge of organized professional and non-professional Pokémon competitions, is beginning to take drastic measures against cheats due to the large number of infractions registered in recent months. "Players who engage in the types of behavior shown below may have begun to have restrictions on their online functionality," they comment as a warning to those players who are trying to engage in online combat and cannot.

Unfortunately for professional gamers from both the video game and collectable card game sides, the North American 2020 Pokémon International Championship (June 26-28 in Columbus, Ohio) and the Pokémon World 2020 Championship (June 14-16). August in London, England; first time in Europe), are canceled by the coronavirus crisis.
The season will resume next year 2021 and it has been guaranteed that the points achieved during the current times of this season will be maintained for the following: progress has not been in vain.
Expansion Pass for Pokémon Sword and Shield on the way
Pokémon Sword and Shield are the latest episodes released for the main series on Nintendo Switch. Aside from his adventure in the Galar region, Game Freak is working on an expansion pass for the first time in the saga, which will come to serve as a third edition, as it already happened in the first five generations. This DLC will be divided into two great episodes.
