The videogame website uncovers a string of unpublished details about the new installment of the title developed by Game Freak.
The day dawned with a new general trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield, prelude to all the new information that just came out on the official video game page. The new installment, designed by Game Freak and produced by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, will arrive on Nintendo Switch with interesting news. Through the official site, the developer wanted to offer new details about the new objects and features, but not before announcing the first official tournament.
Objects and functionalities
When it comes to objects, mints appear for the first time in these video games. According to official information, they will influence the characteristics of the creatures, so that some will develop faster than normal. Each Pokémon is a child of its nature, so it can affect the speed of development. By giving it a mint, certain patterns are modified, although the nature of the Pokémon does not change.
Nutritional drinks, meanwhile, provide protein and iron, which increases the base points of the specimens. In other games in the series, developers preferred to limit the number of objects that could be used in the same Pokémon, but in the new installment that limitation is deleted.
There is an easy and a difficult path: the complicated one is to strengthen your Pokémon through fighting, but if you give it an exp candy, the experience points will automatically increase. They can be obtained in Dinamax raids.
As for breeding, the Hatching Egg Pokémon will learn unusual techniques, the Egg moves. These cannot be learned by conventional means. However, if you leave two Pokémon of the same species in Pokémon Care it is possible that the Egg movement is transferred to other animals. Of course, only if they know three movements or less.
Gigaterf Butterfree and official tournament
The web page already warns: it is very difficult to find Pokémon Gigamax in the Dinamax raids, but not everything is lost. From Friday, November 15, 2019 until the beginning of January 2020, Butterfree Gigamax will appear more regularly. On the other hand, users of Pokémon Sword will also be more likely to find Drednaw Gigamax, while those of Pokémon Shield may encounter Corviknight Gigamax.
Nintendo has also announced the first official online tournament. Registration will be open from November 5 to December 5 and will take place between December 6 and 8. It has been conceived as an individual tournament in which the player must have a Nintendo Switch Online account. These are the allowed Pokémon:
- Pokémon obtained in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield
- Certain special Pokémon will not be allowed.
- You must register a Combat Team containing between three and six Pokémon.
- All Pokémon in the tournament will become Nv. 50 automatically during the course of each encounter.
Pokémon Sword and Shield will go on sale on November 15 on Nintendo Switch.
