Pokémon Sword and Shield: the 250 confirmed Pokémon from previous regions

We review all the Pokémon of the seven existing generations to date that will be in the Galar region from November 15.

Start the countdown to start the journey through Galar for millions of Nintendo Switch players. Pokémon Sword and Shield face their last weeks of promotion and it is, of the last generations, the one that is being more discreet when it comes to anticipating information. We know very little compared to other generational cycles, but we do know the number of confirmed Pokémon (to date marked in the news) of the previous seven regions.

From Kanto to Alola: all confirmed Pokémon

We know, in the words of Game Freak, that with Pokémon Sword and Shield the 1000 will be exceeded if we have alternative forms. It goes without saying that the content we are going to list next is sensitive to being considered spoiler; not in vain, since not all Pokémon from the previous seven generations scheduled in these editions will be there, many people wonder which ones will be and which will not be in Galar.

We can give an intermediate response; that is, we know that there will be, at least, these 250 species of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Teselia, Kalos and Alola, but not the total figure. It may be 300, 500 … we only know that there will be no more than 800 registered until Pokémon Sun and Moon (2016, 3DS), the seventh generation and immediately prior to the one we will start this year.

In this article we review all the differences in Pokémon and Gyms between the Sword edition and the Shield edition. Both games will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
