Portal 2 is updated and adds local cooperative on Steam

Valve's veteran game receives a new patch that fixes past mistakes and adapts to Steam's Remote Play Together functionality.

It is never too late to correct errors and bugs. Let them tell Valve, who kept the Half-Life 2 characters for years without being able to blink, but who finally decided to implement the patch that has returned the hydration to their eyes. Now it is the turn of another old video game, nothing more and nothing less than Portal 2. And no, nothing to do with the eyes or graphics. The patch incorporates the long-awaited local cooperative, so we can play both the campaign and the multiplayer maps on split screen.

The game also has an online cooperative, although both players must have the title in the Steam bookstore. Another aspect that is improved is the possibility of one user playing with keyboard and mouse, while the other does it with command. It was previously possible, but additional adjustments had to be made.

Taking advantage of the exit of the patch, Valve has solved other problems of the past, for example, that sometimes the in-game audio will be taken from the system language configuration instead of the option chosen through Steam. Other arrangements concern small errors related to control.

There is no Half-Life 3, but a virtual reality version

The Final Fantasy VII remake was announced, Shenmue 3 has already gone on sale and Kingdom Hearts 3 was released in early January. What has not yet arrived is the third installment of Half-Life, and not precisely because fans have not claimed day by day also for their return. However, Valve has preferred to opt for Half-Life: Alyx, a virtual reality game based on the popular saga.

Beyond the existence of the project, no detail has been revealed, something that will happen shortly. The company that owns Steam will present the game on November 21 at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
