The Predator is one of the protagonists of this asymmetric multiplayer game, which will be sold on April 24.
Hunt or be hunted, live or die. Those are the options that the player has in Predator: Hunting Grounds, the new video game based on this popular film franchise. Through a press release, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced an open beta that will take place between March 27 and 29. To download it, simply access the PlayStation Store when the time comes, as all users will have the opportunity to try the game for free.
The production, designed by Illfonic in collaboration with FOX and Sony, is an asymmetric multiplayer title set in the world of this sci-fi saga. The development studio has experience with video games of this genre, as they are the authors of Friday the 13th: The Video Game, based on the saga of horror slasher par excellence.
Predator against the Fireteam team
In the beta, users can embody Predator or join the Fireteam team with other online players. All of them may use an arsenal of weapons and equipment to protect themselves and attack. Team members should think of a joint strategy to defeat AI-controlled enemies, while trying to achieve their goals. The greatest danger, however, will be to kill the Predator, controlled by another player.
This creature, which comes from a distant planet, has alien technology, open to personalization. You can shoot plasma beams and dismerse enemies thanks to their melee abilities. “The thrill of being hunted made the original Predator movie so fun to watch, and what makes playing as part of the Fireteam so much fun,” explains Charles Brungardt, CEO of Illfonic.
Predator: Hunting Ground will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 on April 24. Your recommended price? 39.99 euros. A few weeks before, another asymmetric title will be present. Resident Evil Resistance will be included in Resident Evil 3 Remake.
