The asymmetric multiplayer game from the makers of Friday the 13th: The video game will be released on April 24 on PS4 and PC.
There will be no more delays for Predator: Hunting Grounds, the new Illfonic for PlayStation 4 and PC, which will be released on April 24. It is an asymmetrical multiplayer game based on the popular science fiction saga. Behind its development? Nothing more and nothing less than the creators of Friday the 13th: The Video Game, a title that allows us to embody the murderer Jason Voorhees or handle one of the possible survivors of Crystal Lake. In this new approach to the Predator saga, four soldiers face off against this dangerous creature. To celebrate its launch, Sony Interactive Entertainment, publisher of the title, has released a new trailer (news headline).
Through the official PlayStation blog, Charles Brungardt, CEO of Illfonic, has sent a message of excitement to the players. "A lot of people on the game's development team, including me, were playing online games and we were delighted to see what the Community involved in the missions and hunts looked like," he says of the open beta. According to the team, it was "a great learning experience" as developers, as they were able to observe the players' strategies. “It was tremendously useful for our work in these last weeks of development.

Some changes in the final version
That experience has allowed them to make some changes regarding balance, both in terms of the Predator and the military squad. For example, many weapon tweaks have been made and have "made it easier to interact with the fuzzy button for the Predator Self Destruct sequence." Also, for the Predator's target, isolation will no longer start at 100% at the start of the game. "Some of the additional issues the community gave us feedback on were also addressed, such as pairing times and notifications."
According to Brungardt, the release of Predator: Hunting Ground is just the beginning. The developer plans a lot of content and has announced that the first free DLC will be available in a month, as part of a properly planned roadmap.
