Although you still have to be patient for a new Prince of Persia game from Ubisoft, the franchise is returning at least in the form of a VR escape room, which the publisher announced today.

Players can then experience a new team adventure based in the world of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time at over 300 locations around the world. The game builds on the success of the previous VR Escape Rooms Beyond Medusa`s Gate and Escape The Lost Pyramid. With Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time, Ubisoft is strengthening its position in the market for local VR entertainment.

“Who of us has never dreamed of controlling time. Slow it down, stop it, or even rewind it when you need it most, ”said Cyril Voiron, Executive Producer for Escape Games at Ubisoft Düsseldorf. "This is now possible in VR if you take the dagger of time in our latest legendary escape adventure."

Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time is developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf and is suitable for two to four players of all ages. They work together as a team to solve puzzles and find a way out of the redesigned fortress of time. As the adventure progresses, the players are summoned by Kaileena, the Empress of Time. Together with her, they must stop a magician from his diabolical plan to restore the hourglass of time to create an army of sand monsters. Teamwork and instinct are required. To escape from the fortress, players must use powers such as time control using the dagger of time.

"After only two years, we managed to work with over 300 providers of leisure experiences around the world," said Benedikt Grindel, Managing Director of the German Ubisoft Studios. “What started as a prototype has become one of the largest distribution networks in the local entertainment market. That makes us really proud ”.

Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time will be available this spring.
