Sony confirms that for the next few days you do not need to be a member of PS Plus to play online; all multiplayer modes will be free.
Through a press release, Sony has announced the “PlayStation Plus Online Multiplayer Free Weekend”, an event whose name leaves little to the imagination. The company wants to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its subscription service and will allow everyone to play the online modes of their favorite titles for free on PS4. A promotion that will be available from 00:01 on August 8 until 23:59 on Sunday the 9th (always according to local Spanish time). In the promotional images Sony also gives us some ideas to take advantage of this time, such as FIFA 20, Grand Theft Auto V and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but it does so by adding a dreaded message: “the games shown are sold separately”.
From August 8 at 00:01 to August 9 at 23:59, the PS4 online will be free.

Coincidences of life, a few hours ago we knew that the Xbox One multiplayer will be free this weekend. Microsoft does not celebrate anything, but it has also given to release the online modes between August 7 and 9. Not only that, the Redmond company allows to play for free a list of 10 titles that includes names such as Gears 5, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Monster Hunter World (and which, of course, will only be available until 23:59 on Sunday) . Fall Guys and PlayStation Plus in August
