PS4 Tournaments Series: Open Series, the official PlayStation tournaments arrive in Latin America

Tournaments without intermediaries where money prizes, avatars and themes will be distributed

Through the official PlayStation blog, the Japanese company has announced that after the success obtained with the PlayStation 4 Tournaments in 2019, it has decided to verticalize official tournaments of:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  • FIFA 20
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Warface
  • NBA 2K20
  • Soulcalibur VI
  • BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

And three more games from this June 1. This series based on community feedback will include weekly qualifiers, rewards for participating in a tournament and the opportunity to win prizes according to the results obtained in the aforementioned video games.

The best participants in FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat 11 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Mexico will have the opportunity to appear in the online broadcasts of the PlayStation community itself.

This initiative will be developed as follows:

  • Weekly Online Tournaments: There will be weekly competitions with a monthly final. If you fail to qualify, you can return the following month to try again.

  • Gifts for everyone: There will be different rewards each month and PS4 themes or avatars to those who participate in their first tournament. However, in each game, players will have the chance to win a special theme every time they complete a qualifier and if they finish a qualifier in the top 40% they can take an elite version of the themes or avatars. Those who make it to a monthly final will have access to a Best of the best PS4 Tournaments Champions theme or avatar and top players will win a Rarest of the rare Champions PS4 theme or avatar.

How to win prizes?

Players who reach first place in the weekly open qualifiers in certain games may be eligible for a $ 100 cash prize and winners of the monthly finals may win up to $ 1,000 or more.
