Both brands join forces to promote their two products together, as they share the vision of exploring new worlds and more.
Sony and the automobile company Ford have signed a collaboration agreement to promote their two flagship products, PS5 and the new Ford Explorer Plug-In Hybrid model, respectively. In press releases, the Japanese company explained that the two companies have launched products that incorporate “the latest advances in design and technology”, while offering “unique user experiences in their respective segments.”
The launch introduces an audiovisual piece that intertwines the two universes, as you can see on these lines. First-time buyers of the Ford Explorer Plug-In Hybrid will receive a PS5 as a gift beginning December 19, although the promotion is subject to remaining stock.
Plug-in hybrid
20 years after its original commercialization, Ford recovers the Explorer in the Spanish market, but there are things that have changed in all these years. In this way, the new vehicle is a plug-in hybrid version and a key piece of the company’s electrification strategy. Ford follows a philosophy that it has called “Bringing Tomorrow”, which is based on its objective of leading the way to the future “and to record that evolution in each of the new models it presents”.
According to PlayStation, Sony shares with Ford the “motivation to create innovative products designed to improve and make people’s lives more exciting.” To all these characteristics, the new vehicle adds the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
PlayStation 5 went on sale on November 19 in the Spanish market. Initial stock was depleted with reservations, but a few additional shipments have been distributed, all of them through online stores. No more consoles are expected until 2021, although no official details have been offered in this regard. The console was marketed with games such as Astro’s Playground, Demon’s Souls or Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
