The game of Capcom adds a new and hilarious mod that allows us to play as Ellie, facial animations included, in Resident Evil 2 Remake.
In case the announcement of Resident Evil 3: Remake did not seem enough reason to play Resident Evil 2: Remake again, there goes another. PC users can now play the Capcom title as Ellie, from The Last of Us, thanks to a new mod available for it. Developed by Darkness Valtier, a Portuguese fan of the saga that has been creating content for it since 2004, the mod replaces Elza Walker's costume for Claire with the look that Ellie had in Naughty Dog's work. And far from being hieratic, the heroine has the same facial animations she had in her adventure with Joel.
We don't know what's weirder, if their faces, their voice (which is still Claire's) or the situation in general, but what we're sure of is that we want to try it. We had a good time in its day thanks to the mod that transformed Mr. X into the goose of the Untitled Goose Game. Although Darkness Valtier has received a warning from Sony and Naughty Dog and has had to remove it momentarily from its YouTube channel, the internet for these things is unstoppable and the mod can already be downloaded for free here (to name one of the two hundred new portals that share it). If you are left wanting more, do not forget to also try the one who undresses Mr. X or the one that allows us to spend the whole history with fixed cameras, as in 1998.

For the record, none of these mods has influenced Resident Evil 2: Remake to become the GOTY 2019 of FreeGameTips, voted for the writing of the magazine. Capcom's work has given us back one of the most remembered and beloved works of the 32-bit generation, but not only that but it has also returned it to us completely rebuilt on a graphical and playable level. A delight for fans of the genre that continues to increase its lifespan thanks to the PC community. On the other hand, Ellie and The Last of Us 2 face 2020 as one of the last great exclusive games of PS4.
