"There was an overlap between the development of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, and the two use the RE Engine," says the producer. "In total, the process of creating the video game took about three years. I wouldn't say that ideas flowed automatically, but we certainly took some elements learned. ” According to Fabiano, as happened with the remake of the second chapter, the Japanese decided to modify the angle of the camera and bring it closer to the shoulders, in order to "generate more immersion". However, thanks to the graphics engine improvements, they have been able to go further and design a more vibrant "Raccoon City".

In this sense, the producer affirms that the path they have followed is similar to that of Resident Evil 2 Remake. All in all, "more freedoms" have been taken to fit all aspects of the title. "It was important for us to maintain the essence of the original, but also to include fresh elements for both newbies and fans."

Resident Evil 3 Remake will be released on April 3 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The play will introduce a completely new asymmetric multiplayer, Resident Evil Resistance, that will invite us to embody various survivors who fight against traps and hordes of enemies sent by the master brain, also managed by a player. It is a 4 vs 1, a mode that replaces the classic mercenaries and that is not canon within the saga.
