Resident Evil 3 Remake: minimum requirements on PC

Resident Evil 3 Remake: minimum PC requirements

We already know in which computers we can return to Raccoon City when on March 4, 2020 Capcom releases the remake of Resident Evil 3.

The appearance of Resident Evil 3: Remake on Steam, where it is already available to pre-purchase, has allowed us to know the minimum requirements of the game on PC, which practically trace those that were demanded in its day by the previous one, Resident Evil 2: Remake. There is no crazy requirement and it will be relatively easy to enjoy the game, for which an Intel i5-4460 or an AMD FX 6300, 8Gb of memory and a GTX 760 or R7 260x will suffice. For the recommended and ultra requirements, we will have to wait a little longer. Do not forget that the release date of the game still seems somewhat far away, since it will not reach components, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until next March 4, 2020.

Minimum requirements Resident Evil 3: Remake

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1, 10

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, AMD FX-6300 or higher

  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x with 2GB of RAM

  • DirectX: Version 11

Capcom does not rest on its laurels

Despite the success of the previous one, Capcom does not want Resident Evil 3: Remake to be just one more version of the original with a new graphics engine. The company wants the game to be as careful and worked as Resident Evil 2: Remake, which is why it has already made several decisions. To compensate for its duration, for example, which is around 7 hours on average (it is one of the shortest titles in the saga), the developer has chosen to accompany the remake in an unprecedented multiplayer mode called Project Resistance. We are talking about an asymmetric 4 against 1 mode starring new characters, such as Martin Sandwich, in which there will be four survivors from Raccoon City and a fifth player who will send enemies, traps and tricks to end up cornered and fall prey to the zombies.

As if that were not enough, Resident Evil 3 is not the only project that Capcom is managing at the moment. The company seems to be aware of how much users want a remake of Dino Crisis and has set off all the alarms after registering the brands of Power Stone, Mega Man, Darkstalkers and Dino Crisis, in what could be the first sign of the return of all them with a new installment. The mythical survival horror with dinosaurs, its protagonist Regina and that crazy doctor who manipulated space-time and brought prehistoric dinosaurs to the present, perhaps they are closer to returning than we think.
