Resident Evil Village is official on PS5: first images and trailer

Resident Evil Village

The eighth main installment of the saga transports the player to a rural environment full of dangers, as previously leaked.

More announcements of PlayStation 5 video games. During the presentation event, which was broadcast in streaming and that we followed minute by minute on FreeGameTips, an open secret was confirmed: the leaks were true, Resident Evil Village is a reality. After the release of Resident Evil 3 Remake it’s time for a whole new installment in the series.

Although there is no specific date yet, the game will be published in 2021 on PlayStation 5 and other platforms. Despite the fact that both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 returned to the third person, in Village we will live a first-person experience, as in the seventh chapter of the series. In the trailer, a snowy town has been observed, as well as a kind of mansion. There are creatures that have never been seen in Capcom’s survival horror.

This is PS5, the new Sony console

PlayStation 5 has a Zen 2 8-core CPU that runs at a variable frequency (3.5 Ghz). In addition, it incorporates a 10.28 TFLOPs GPU, 16 GB of GDDR6 / 256-bit RAM and a proprietary SSD built specifically for the console. In fact, this hard drive is one of the great advances with respect to the previous generation, since among its advantages is speed, which practically eliminates the loading times of games. It will have a capacity of 825 GB, although the machine will mount an optical reader for all those who wish to have their games in physical format (which they will then install on the hard drive, anyway). The memory can be expanded by USB HDD as an external storage system.

The expected new generation of Sony will be released practically at the same time as that of Microsoft, that is, at the end of the year. Neither has a specific date, despite the fact that both PS5 and Xbox Series X will continue to offer details in the coming months. The information will therefore be dosed with the intention of keeping the flame of interest alive.
