Riot Games goes on vacation for a week and their games stop their updates

The company responsible for video games as popular as League of Legends or Valorant takes a week off; and their titles too.

Riot Games has issued an official statement advising its community of players that the company will be on vacation for a week, 7 days during which its activity will stop entirely at the employee level. Therefore, its communication managers have already warned regular players of games such as League of Legends or Valorant that said titles and others from the company will not receive news while the company closes during these next days of rest.

Game updates stopped for a week

Thus, and from the week of August 10 and for the next 7 days, Riot Games will completely cease its usual activity, so that its employees can “disconnect, recharge and restart” from their respective responsibilities. For this reason, the company has been forced to postpone certain changes and updates that were planned for these days so that no last-minute errors or setbacks arise.

This means that the main active Riot Games video games such as League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra or Teamfight Tactics (TFT), will not receive any type of news, update or patch while the different responsible development teams are on vacation together with the rest of the company staff. However, from Riot Games they warn that while the holidays last, there will be a small group of employees pending that everything works normally at the server and community level.

And it is that as they admit from Riot Games, this year 2020 has been especially intense and complicated both by the launch and growth of their new video games and by the global coronavirus crisis, which has forced much work to be done from home with all setbacks that this entails. Finally, Riot Games appreciate the support of the gaming community.
