Rockstar (GTA, Red Dead Redemption) seeks employees for an open world next gen

Rockstar North expands its staff and seeks an animation system programmer. It is not specified for which videogame this worker will be part.

Rockstar North is looking for staff. The study, based in Edinburgh and principal in charge of shaping the recent Red Dead Redemption 2, has published a new job vacancy on the official website of the company to find an asset that is responsible for participating in the design of a new world Open for the next generation of consoles.

According to the information on the offer, the active future must be an expert in programming of animation systems for the creation of "advanced animation systems in open-world character-based games." Its objective is clear: "to take the borders of the animation of characters beyond in the next generation of hardware". At no time explicitly cite the name of PlayStation 5 or Xbox Project Scarlett, only that they work for the next generation of hardware.

In the tasks, responsibilities of animation, artificial intelligence, opcimization of these animations and their integration in the world are deduced.

Any type of names from this point will be mere speculation. It has been rumored much what Rockstar's next project may be after the adventure of Arthur Morgan in the Old West and the successful GTA V. There are voices that point to the return of Bully, but we insist that there is no information about it for now.

GTA V follows its own: 115 million units sold

Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to sell as much as the first day, with an average of between 12 and 15 million units shipped every year. With these figures, which are literally extraordinary, the launch of a possible sequel, that hypothetical GTA 6, can be made to beg for more than the account so as not to curb the indefinite future of a fifth installment that has sold more than many of the most successful consoles of the whole story, like Wii, PlayStation or the current PS4. 115 million copies are already adding up all the platforms

If you plan to get Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC, we have published its respective Reviews, in which we bring out the best things about adaptation and those that deprive you of reaching the original grade.
