Rocksteady defends itself against allegations of sexual harassment at the company

The team responsible for the Batman and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League saga publishes a statement where current employees defend the company.

Rocksteady has issued a statement in response to the Guardian report in which they make public the letter issued in 2018 by a group of former employees in which the British team was accused of having incurred in cases of sexual abuse and inaction by senior managers to end this alleged problem.

Through this new communication, Rocksteady attaches a note signed by eight of the ten women who wrote the original 2018 complaint, who are the ones who are currently continuing to work on the study. According to them, the information published by The Guardian medium is not accurate or consistent with reality, since Rocksteady herself did get in touch with them to end possible sexual abuse. In other words, the letter denies that there was inaction on the part of the team.

The objective of that meeting was to agree on ideas that would guarantee a safe environment at work and personal level. Likewise, they argue that none of the women who participated in the initial letter were notified that the note was going to be published in a newspaper like that and that, for this reason, their privacy or the privacy of the matter has been compromised.

What happened and why is Rocksteady posting this answer?

The initial complaint dates back to 2018, when a dozen Rocksteady workers came together to write a letter in protest of the sexual harassment that, they say, they were receiving at the company from their colleagues. They delivered the notification to management, but there was no effective response and, now, in August 2020, that report has reached the hands of The Guardian, which has served as a loudspeaker so that it is now a matter of public knowledge.

This weekend the presentation of the new Warner Bros. Games project, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, will take place within the framework of the DC Fandom 2020. It will be exactly on August 22 when we know how is this new proposal where they will face the Suicide Squad against Superman.
