Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is coming during the start of 2021

Riot Games will release Ruined King: A League of Legends Story during the start of 2021. It will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Riot Games takes advantage of the Worlds 2020 framework to show the public its new project. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is part of the development plan that extends the MOBA license to other genres and platforms. We are talking about a turn-based RPG developed by Airship Syndicate, who demonstrated their skills with Darksiders: Genesis and Battle Chasers: Nightwar.

We can play as Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri or Pyke, among others. Very little information is known about what elements we will find in it, except that we will travel through the Shadow Islands and Stagnant Waters. It will arrive sometime in the early 2021 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. From launch it will be playable through PS5 and Xbox Series X | S backward compatibility; the specific port will arrive a little later and the upgrade to the new generation will be free.

During the new trailer, which you have at the head of the news, we can see several characters walking around the world. The faces of the characters inevitably recall the work of Joe Madureira, who was the creative director of the first two Darksiders and a regular contributor to the world of comics, as in Avenging Spiderman, Savage Wolverine or Inhuman, among others.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story trailer date consoles

We learned of its existence during the last edition of The Game Awards, the space presented by Geoff Keighley. Riot Games took the first step beyond League of Legends last 2019. Legends of Runeterra used the background of the license to expand it through a Digital Collectible Card Game. In this 2020 we would see the arrival of Valorant, who would do the same in the competitive shooter. On the horizon we can find Wild Rift, the version of League of Legends for mobiles and consoles, in addition to that fighting title whose name we do not know.
