Rumor: Hideo Kojima plans new Silent Hill with Konami

Playfront

Just now it seems that Konami is no longer interested in the Silent Hill franchise, there are rumors of a second attempt between Hideo Kojima and Konami.

Somewhat strangely, the whole thing is already after Konami expire the official webdomain for the game, and Kojima and Konami were last spiderefeind. On the other hand, Kojima had just announced that he would like to make another horror game – the scariest horror game of all time even.

Now, the reddit user, Sarkzt0001 ', who was previously the moderator on Silent Hill's SubReddit, claims that Kojima and Konami are in talks for a new Silent Hill game. However, there is currently no real evidence of this, which is why we have to wait and see what will ultimately come of it. The post office is already several days old, but was declared admissible on Reddit.

Deal apparently already

Currently, the stand should be such that the deal between Kojima Productions and Konami already stands and the details for the pre-production are worked out. Kojima Productions will be responsible for the production costs, while Konami will handle the trademark issues. Financial support should also come from Sony, Microsoft or Steam to realize the project.

The Silent Hill project is also said to be the reason why Kenichiro Imaizumi recently retired from Kojima Productions after many years because he would hate having to work for Konami again. The dispute at the time is probably still too deep in the bones. Kojima himself wants the Silent Hills and P.T. Project but necessarily complete, even for the fans.

It also says that you want to get back lots of familiar characters for the project, similar to Death Stranding. Norman Reedus is said to be responsible for the P.T. Demo, however, be exchanged.

Announcement coming soon?

By the announcement of the game you should also be able to count on 2020, maybe even at this year's The Game Awards, if you're lucky. The release is expected to take place in the next generation.

Let's hope that's true, because a Silent Hill game by Hideo Kojima is still a dream for many, many players.
