Another and exciting rumor is currently circulating that developer Ready At Dawn is working on a successor to 'The Order: 1886' for PlayStation 5, which should already make a fantastic impression.
The well-known insider 'OsirisBlack' claims in the NeoGaf forum that he had seen an impressive gameplay trailer for the game. In this one would see a man with a device attached to his shoulders moving through dimly lit rooms. The action then picks up speed after a yellow-eyed monster chases you. The character models, the lighting and the physics are described in this context on a “completely new level”.
Rumors are not new
How far this information applies, however, cannot currently be checked. However, the rumors of a sequel to The Order: 1886 are not new either. Already last year you could hear from developer circles that the new game has been in the works for a while and is very likely to be released for PS5. However, they quickly rowed back and didn't want to know anything about all of this.
Ready at Dawn had recently tried smaller projects, but they weren't as successful. In the meantime, they had said that they were sticking to the AAA business, as well as the The Order brand, and would like to return there on occasion. This opportunity may have arisen now that Sony is also known to continue to support games that are not so successful.
