Shantae and the Seven Sirens coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in late May

Shantae and the Seven Sirens was one of the great claims of Apple Arcade, but its exclusivity comes to an end. The game, the fifth installment of the 2D adventures of this saga, will arrive on May 28 on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. This has been announced by WayFoward, responsible for publishing the title and making it jump directly from mobile phones to consoles and computers. On these platforms the entire game will arrive, since it was released on iOS as a first part and recently received the second and final. It costs 29.99 euros.

This is the fifth installment in the platform and action saga, in which Shantae, the protagonist, ends up in the middle of a tropical island where she will have to explore in a metroidvania style, without linear advancement. In fact, its particular audiovisual section and this freer development in a 2D world full of secrets and places to discover are two of the tricks that have made the saga succeed for several installments. As the game description goes: "In her fifth adventure, the half-genius heroine receives magical fusions with which to explore a submerged city, makes new half-genius friends and fights against the seven sea nymphs."

The company has also explained that they will edit both standard and collector's physical editions.

Shantae also arrives at Games with Gold

If you have doubts if Shantae is a type of game for you and you have Xbox Live Gold, from March 16 to April 15 you can try the first installment, Shantae Genie Hero. If you download it you will have it forever in your Xbox One games library. A good way to know if the game is worth it, although we already told you that the latest installments have been improving and polishing all kinds of mechanics.
