The French director, in a meeting with Allociné, has declared that he is working on adapting these two intellectual properties to the cinema of the world of videogames.
“I have two horror film projects with Victor Hadida. I am working on the adaptation of the Project Zero video game (known in the United States as Fatal Frame). The film will be set in Japan. I don't want to take away that haunted Japanese house setting that the videogame has, ”he says.
Original Silent Hill movie by Christophe Gans
It will be the first adaptation to the seventh art of the Project Zero / Fatal Frame saga and the first product derived from work created by Makoto Shibata since the launch of the last official installment of the saga, Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, released exclusively for Wii U in 2014.
“Similarly, I am working on a new (movie) Silent Hill. The project will be as always anchored to a small American town, devastated by Puritanism. I think it's time to make a new one, ”he concludes.

Silent Hills (P.T.) and the last chinks of the Konami saga
Despite the criticisms received by the first Silent Hill-based film, saga lovers have since claimed more film adaptations based on this popular franchise; like new video games that know how to channel the essence of Konami's work born in PlayStation back in 1999. The last Silent Hill video game under this nomenclature dates back to 2012 with Silent Hill: Book of Memories, exclusive to PlayStation Vita.
Hideo Kojima, father of Metal Gear and head of Death Stranding at Kojima Productions after his departure from Konami, was working on a new title of the PS4 series, Silent Hills PT, canceled for the misfortune of many there by 2015. Despite the rumor mill around the return or the possible return of something similar by Konami, the Japanese company has not issued any statement on the matter or advanced any movement.
Silent Hill and Project Zero films have no approximate premiere window; Its current state is embryonic.
