Silent Hill – Current information again points to a new project (update)

Even though Konami denies that you are currently working on the Silent Hill series (what else should you do?), There is again evidence that a project of some kind is in the works.

For example, horror manga artist Suehiro Maruo has published two photos on his social profiles that indicate that he is involved in a new Silent Hill project. One of the photos was taken in front of the Konami headquarters in Midtown East. It is also interesting that Maruo refers to Silent Hills, which should have been developed by Hideo Kojima.

Now one suspects that Maruo is either working on a manga for the series or that a game project is in the works.

Recently it was said that several Silent Hill projects were in progress, including a soft reboot and possibly an episode game. Hideo Kojima was also brought back into play, who is said to have reconciled with Konami in order to work on Silent Hill again. Currently, however, these are all speculations that Konami only dismisses with the fact that they are not true.

Rumors about PS5 exclusive reboot

Update: At the same time, there are new rumors about a reboot in the ResetEra forum, which is said to be developed by Sony and Konami and appears exclusively for PS5. Director Keiichiro Toyama, illustrator Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka will also be on board.

Accordingly, the reboot should be announced soon or in the coming months, which is currently also more likely than a new edition of Silent Hills.

However, it should be noted that the said insider has so far hardly any references. Only his verification in the ResetEra forum currently gives him some trust points. Therefore, this is initially only a rumor.
