Silent Hill & Project Zero – New films in the works

Playfront

Two of the most iconic horror games of the PS2 era are being considered with new film adaptations, as you could now experience almost in passing. So there are plans for a new Silent Hill film, as well as for Project Zero, whose rights are unfortunately exclusively with Nintendo.

Christophe Gans, who was responsible for the Silent Hill film back in 2006, was once again the director. Gans comments on this:

“I have two horror film projects with Victor Hadida. I am working on the adaptation of the video game Project Zero, which will play in Japan. In particular, I don't want to remove the game from its Japanese haunted house environment. We are also working on a new Silent Hill. The project will always be anchored in the atmosphere of a small American city that is haunted by Puritanism. I think it's time to make a new one.

Film plans for Project Zero have also been around for quite a while, but have never made it to the finished production. Unfortunately, there are currently no further details on the two film implementations. Here you have to wait and see how the whole thing develops.
