Last year’s Sonoma race drew 2.2 million viewers and ran once more in July without competing against the World Cup. The O’Reilly Series round on the CW attracted 1.145 million average viewers, a jump of +18 % over the July 12, 2025 airing on the same channel.
Ratings peaked at 1,231,000 viewers during the 6:45‑7:00 pm ET window, making it the 19th consecutive race to surpass one million viewers before any rain delay. The CW also noted it as the most‑watched Sonoma race since the series’ debut track in 2023.
Van Gisbergen’s Double Victory
Shane Van Gisbergen dominated the weekend with JR Motorsports in the O’Reilly Series and Trackhouse in the Cup race. His win elevates him to 14 NASCAR victories, eight of which come from the Cup Series.
