Sony will return the reservation amount of The Last of Us Part 2 and Iron Man VR on PS Store

After the delay caused by the coronavirus crisis, the games reservation page had disappeared from the PlayStation digital store.

The Coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19) has impacted video game releases, to the point that one of the biggest titles of the year, The Last of Us Part 2, has been delayed indefinitely. The same has happened with Marvel's Iron Man VR, which will not see the light on the planned date. As we posted on FreeGameTips, the Naughty Dog game has disappeared from the PlayStation Store and the reservation page is no longer accessible. Now, Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the money will be returned to all those who reserved one of these video games, in any of its editions.

The message has appeared on the support page of the North American store. According to what they report, it will not be necessary to carry out any previous management, since the refund of the amount will take place automatically. The company explains that customers will receive an email informing them more precisely. For now, we will have to wait for the situation to normalize to draw up a new roadmap that leads, this time, to a definitive release date.

The Last of Us Part 2

The two games were delayed before

In a tweet posted by Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us Part 2, the creator lamented the situation, adding that this is something beyond his control. In fact, the Naughty Dog play is almost finished and no further delay was expected. Do not forget that the video game was initially planned for the month of February, but the team needed more time to polish the experience to the fullest. Marvel's Iron Man VR was also not spared a delay for the same reasons.

The next chapter of Ellie and Joel will have to wait a little longer to unfold. What is clear is that there will be no demo to whet your appetite. Druckmann stated that he wanted to use the time to fine-tune the project, since a demo would involve additional work for the studio.
