Square Enix is working on several remakes with the creators of Panzer Dragoon 2020

The Polish developer has signed an agreement with the parents of Final Fantasy to take over an intellectual property from the Japanese.

Forever Entertainment, the Polish studio behind the Panzer Dragoon remake, which was released in 2020, has reached an agreement with Square Enix to work on new remakes. This has been published by Gematsu, which includes the official announcement of the study. Although they do not reveal what intellectual property they will work with, they have reported that they will reveal it at another time, during a global marketing campaign.

There will be several remakes of the same intellectual property, which will improve their graphics, although they will maintain the same gameplay and scenarios of the original versions. Their respective release dates will be revealed one by one, separately. Forever Entertainment will receive 50% of the sales of each of the games on all platforms on which they are marketed.

More remakes announced

This developer has specialized in developing different remakes. As we said, Panzer Dragoon: Remake was marketed on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Stadia, while Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake will be released this year 2021. They have also announced the remakes of two SEGA classics, The House of thre Dead and The House of the Dead 2.

Square Enix, for its part, is immersed in the development of important titles. One of the most anticipated is Final Fantasy XVI, the new main installment of the saga. Naoki Yoshida, producer of the video game, already dropped that there would be information soon, although they do not want to announce anything ahead of time to keep expectations under control. “Talking when it’s half cooked is very risky,” he said in an interview with The Washington Post.

What is known for sure is Square Enix has oriented its design towards a playable system with an action-based combat system. They want to offer accessibility options to people who are approaching an RPG for the first time. In addition, the team is focused on polishing the storyline of the video game.

Final Fantasy XVI has been announced exclusively for PS5. There is no confirmed release date yet.
