Star Wars: Battlefront II – Details of The Rise of Skywalker Update

Not only did EA and DICE officially endorse the Star Wars: Battlefront II – Celebration Edition today, but it also introduced the content of The Rise of Skywalker Update, which will be released to coincide with the release of the new feature film.

Among other things, the Rise of Skywalker Update awaits you with a brand new Jungle Planet, where you can either play on the Resistance or First Order side as the conflict spreads throughout this tropical paradise. There are also four new heroes and villains.

The First Order is joined by the Sith Trooper, a merciless soldier characterized by speed and advanced weapons to hunt down and annihilate anyone who stands in his way. In addition to the Sith Trooper, the Jet Trooper will make its debut on the First Order, which has received new training and jetpack equipment to gain the predominance of the resistance. Achieve superiority in the air by using a blaster rifle equipped with grenades as you dodge, hover and maneuver through the air. For the resistance then the Gunner and Spy, two new alien species from Star Wars fight: The Rise of Skywalker.

For the KoOp mode, you also get the Sequel trilogy on the following cards: Jakku, Takodana, Starkiller Base and the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker-inspired planet. In addition, Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren will receive a brand new appearance based on The Rise of Skywalker. These appearances are available to anyone who owns the Celebration Edition, Credits, and Crystals.

The release of this update is also slightly different from the previous ones. It starts on December 17, with the exception that the new planet will follow in the planetary rotations from the 20th of December.

In January, the Sequel Trilogy continues with new content, bringing it to Instant Action and Capital Supremacy, including the Resistance MC85 and First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. With BB-8 and BB-9E are also two new heroes at the start.
