Valve postpones the Steam: Game Festival Summer Edition celebration for one week. Now, the event will take place on June 16 at 7:00 PM, and will run until June 22 at the same time.
As its description on the digital platform says, Steam Game Festival is an event where you can see a look at the games that will come out next year, the closest releases and be able to try limited demos. In short, an opportunity to connect with the developers participating in the program and experience their creations for the first time.
The broadcast schedule is to be determined, as well as the participants. We will discover their faces in terms of the starting gun.
June calendar postponed
The current situation in the United States has caused the main events located in the first half of June to be delayed to a later date. From the indefinite postponement of the presentation of the PlayStation 5 games, until the broadcast of Cyberpunk 2077 (now on June 25), practically everyone has decided that it was not the time to celebrate anything.
The last event that has sought a new date has been EA Play Live, the Electronic Arts video game space. Although it was scheduled for June 11, they decided to move it until June 18 at 1 a.m., Peninsular time.
And it is that the world of the video game has not remained alien. The main faces of the sector have come together to give voice to the #BlackLivesMatter movement after the death of Geoge Floyd at the hands of the American police. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Riot Games, Activision … all promote the fight against racism, xenophobia and homophobia not only in society, but also in their products.
