The main video game retail chains warn that the sale of games during the next week can be complicated if they must close due to the alarm state for the coronavirus.
The State of Alarm announced this Friday by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and which will be detailed next Saturday after the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers, can and indeed will affect the reserves of video games that appear in the next fifteen days. The alarm status can be decreed for a maximum period of fifteen days and cannot be extended, but many have reserved games like Doom Eternal or Animal Crossing: News Horizons. Naturally, it is far from being the most important thing in a time of pandemic expansion like the one we are experiencing, but the main stores have already warned of what will happen with these cases.
Some users had alerted to the Mediamarkt statement in which they explained that following "the instructions of the authorities, our stores in the Autonomous Communities of Madrid and Catalonia will be temporarily closed. We will continue serving them from our online store."
